Israel, Iran, the Arab League, the Obama administration, and much of the International Community realizes the Middle East is but a Turkey flotilla episode away from exploding. Mideast arsenals are filled with weapons that could wipe Israel off the map, destroy Damascus, and / or bomb Beirut into oblivion.

The Arab League recently gave Palestinian President Abbas the green light to go ahead with direct peace talks with Israel. Ultimately, Israel will be expected to give up control and possession of East Jerusalem, Gaza, the Golan Heights, the West Bank, and parts of the Sinai. Additionally they will probably have to allow millions of displaced Palestinian Refugees to return and reside in portions of this reduced Israel. In return, Israel hopes to achieve full recognition as the Jewish State and establish semi-normal national relations with the Arab League.
The odds of this lopsided deal being accepted by all parties is extremely low. It compromises Israel's ability to defend itself from any and all of it's vowed enemies. The International Community has had 62 years to resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict and the regional geo-politics are worse now than ever before.
